Scooby-Doo Where Are You The Complete Series DVD Collection

Scooby-Doo Where Are You The Complete Series DVD Collection

Scooby-Doo fans beware there's a new collection in town and it comes attractively packaged in a case that looks like the Scooby-Doo Mystery Machine!

There was a time when my sons watched Scooby-Doo faithfully.  They were big enough fans of the series that when we accidentally stumbled across Velma, Daphne, Freddie and Shaggy last Christmas at Universal Studios in Florida there were smiles all around!

The Scooby-Doo Where Are You The Complete series DVD Collection is a limited edition set that contains all of the 41 episodes of the television series that aired over three seasons. It is very attractively priced today at 34 percent of the manufacturer's suggested retail price or just $59.52 for a trip down memory lane for a Scooby-Doo fan.  This boxed set would also be a great opportunity to introduce a young person to Scooby-Doo and his adventures. You can find it here on Amazon.

Ed Sheeran & Macklemore on Sesame Street

Ed Sheeran & Macklemore on Sesame Street
I have always been impressed by the quality of guests that Sesame Street persuades to be on their television programs. Johnny Cash, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé, Alicia Keys and Feist are but a tiny sampling of the names that have appeared on the program.

Very recently Billboard released a video featuring bits of the upcoming Sesame Street spots with Ed Sheeran and Macklemore.  Seeing today's pop culture shared in the Sesame Street format is a lot of fun and I love the talent that Sesame Street uses to parody many popular songs in a child-friendly manner.

However, did you know that Sesame Street does not actually have to persuade celebrities to appear on their programming? That in fact, many celebrities often come knocking at Sesame Street's door ASKING to appear on the program? That really says something about Sesame Street, don't you think? I'm so glad Sesame Street embraces those requests!

Here's the sneak preview of the Ed Sheeran and Macklemore spots. However, if you are interested in watching the actual segments, you will have to tune into Sesame Street for the September 2014 season when they are scheduled to appear.

See you

Catching Fire Soundtrack

Catching Fire Movie Soundtrack
Here's the perfect gift for a Hunger Games fan for 2013.  It's the brand new Catching Fire soundtrack

You won't hear all these songs in the movie but the album was clearly put together to evoke the feeling of The Hunger Games.

Not only has it been made to relate to the movie but it also includes many of today's popular singers.

Here's a track list, which includes a variety of artists that you will recognize:

Atlas - Coldplay
Silhouettes - Of Monsters and Men
Elastic Heart - Sia ft. The Weeknd & Diplo
Lean - The National
We Remain - Christina Aguilera
Devil May Cry - The Weeknd
Who We Are - Imagine Dragons
Everybody Wants To Rule The World - Lorde
Gale Song - The Lumineers
Mirror - Ellie Goulding
Capital Letter - Patti Smith
Shooting Arrows At The Sky - Santigold

The Deluxe Edition also includes these tracks:

Place For Us - Mikky Ekko
Lights - Phantogram
Angel On Fire - Antony and the Johnsons

You can watch this television spot to hear Coldplay's Atlas, the lead single from the album:

Youtube reviewers the Consequence of Sound called the album "a nice curation." My local paper, the Ottawa Citizen, gave it a very strong four stars and said that the clear victors on this record are the fans.  The Celebrity Cafe seemed to say what many others have said, when they confirmed that "the feeling of this soundtrack compliments the passionate storytelling" and scored it a resounding 5 out of 5.

What do you think? Will you be adding the Catching Fire soundtrack to your collection?

See you

In this five-minute long parody, Cookieness Evereat leads her team, which of course includes Pita, through the arena.

I think the video is cute but not the best parody I've ever seen, especially since you have to learn lessons to proceed through the games because in these Hungry Games you can't eat the cookie...you have to think!

New Hunger Games Catching Fire Videos

Fans eagerly await November 22, 2013, when the second movie in the Hunger Games series, Catching Fire, will be released.

Meanwhile, there is a lot for us to feast our eyes on in the media and I thought I would gather a few of the great new videos that are available here on this page for you.

There are television commercials for the movie, shorter than the trailers that we have seen previously as well as television advertisements for the restaurant Subway. There is even a video about how they used Imax for the movie Catching Fire. None of the videos are long and fans will enjoy every single one of them and likely even forgive the tiny bit of overlap between them.

First, then are the two television advertisements that are being shown in advance of the release of the movie:

Next, there is the very exciting Subway advertising campaign. I think they nailed it with this Catching Fire promotion, which has me wanting to go to Subway to eat the Subway Sriracha Chicken sub as advertised in these commercials, even though I had to look up Sriracha  sauce to find out what it was. (Wikipedia tells me that Sriracha sauce is a paste of chili peppersdistilled vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt.) I wouldn't mind winning the trip to Hawaii contest that is part of Subway's advertising campaign, either...

Finally, there is the IMAX trailer, which includes footage from the movie and live snippets with the cast, about how they incorporated used Imax.

How excited are you about the opening of Catching Fire? Are you counting the days? Have you or are you re-reading the books?

May the Odds
Be Ever In Your Favour!

Hallmark Hall of Fame's Christmas in Conway

Hallmark Hall of Fame's Christmas in Conway Movie

Christmas in Conway is the 250th Hallmark Hall of Fame movie presentation as well as this year's Hallmark Hall of Fame Christmas movie. As you might or might not know, Hallmark reserves the Hallmark Hall of Fame movies for a channel other than the Hallmark Channel, which is reason for celebration amongst those of us who do not receive the Hallmark Channel.

This year's movie is the story of a husband who is determined to provide his seriously ill wife with a special Christmas treat in the form of a Ferris wheel in the backyard. That news is greeted with mixed feelings by the neighbours and negatively by one in particular who wants to win the Christmas house decorating contest.

You can check out the movie for yourself in this short Youtube video:

What would you think if your neighbour wanted to erect a Ferris wheel in his or her back yard? Would you be happy or dismayed? Harry Potter Spells Gone Wrong

Ever wonder what would happen if the spells used in the Harry Potter books and movies did not work?

Well wonder no more for the animators at Stoedoe Studios have prepared this short animated film called Harrey Podder: Say the Magic Word, which illustrates, with a bit of blood and gore but no swearing or sex, what they think it might have been like when the Harry Potter or Harrey Podder spells did not do exactly what was expected:

Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray & DVD Release

Mary Poppins is being released on blu-ray disc for the first time and re-released on DVD just in time for Christmas and for the exciting new Disney movie titled Saving Mr. Banks. Those of us who watched the movie Mary Poppins over the past 50 years and have fond memories of doing so will be anxiously awaiting this release.

The movie Mary Poppins won five Academy Awards when it was released in 1964, including the Oscar for Best Actress for Julie Andrews and as we all know, the movie has had tremendous staying power.

As this video trailer for the December 10, 2013, blu-ray release says, Mary Poppins is the ultimate Disney classic.

The trailer looks brilliant, don't you think? If you are a Mary Poppins' fan, this trip down memory lane will give you goosebumps. It did me!  Not only is this release ideal for existing fans but it is the perfect opportunity to introduce a classic Disney movie to the youngsters in your life.

Paul McCartney NEW

WOW, I've only heard the first song and that after reading about it in the newspaper this morning but Paul McCartney's new album, titled NEW, sounds good, really good.

It was released on October 15, 2013, in North America and won a five-star review in Ottawa Citizen newspaper this morning with the Citizen saying, "...with the title song, Sir Paul delivers his most irresistible effort in decades."

Watch McCartney perform New here. I love that the lyrics are included so we can sing along.

Okay, now that you have listened do tell what you thought! Seldom do I fall for a song the first time I hear it but I did this time. Sir. Paul McCartney's NEW is delightful.

Five Award-Winning Movie Tie-In Kindle Books

The Descendants was a great movie although I may have been particularly enamoured of that movie because it was set in Hawaii and I happen to be a pretty big Hawaii fan. However, I am not the only one who liked it. Roger Ebert actually gave the movie a perfect five-star review. However, I digress.  From the looks of the Amazon customer reviews, I am guessing that the book is better than the movie...

It is not 100 percent true that the book is always better than the movie but, more often than not, that is the case. If you are a movie lover who also loves an e-reader, you will be happy to know that there is a wonderful selection of movie tie-in books available for your Kindle. Of course, if you are not a  Kindle book reader, these movie tie-in books are all available in traditional form!

So, for your reading pleasure, I present this short list of Kindle movie-tie in books that have been made into successful, award-winning films in the last few years:

The Descendents by Kaui Hart Hemmings - The book was Hemmings' debut novel and the screenplay went on to become a movie that was nominated for several Academy Awards and won for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin - If you have been meaning to read this series, the ebook will sure lighten the load! The hugely popular television series has won plenty of awards, including two Emmys and I know that people are totally enthralled by the books.

The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick - The movie version made off with a number of Oscars last year at the Academy Awards, the book could be a great read. Once again, the Amazon customer reviews of the book make it look like an interesting choice.

Captain Phillips was based on the true story A Captain's Duty: Somali Pirates, Navy SEALS and Dangerous Days at Sea by Richard Phillips.  The movie version is too new to have won any awards but, judging by the reception of the recently released film, it will likely be in the running for numerous Oscars.  If you are like some of the members of my family, you will want to read this book before you see the movie.

Life of Pi by Yann Martel - The book Life of Pi was rejected by five London publishing houses before it was eventually published by a Canadian publishing house and went on to sell more than ten million copies. The movie version won its own acclaim that included four Academy awards.

I cannot personally vouch for any of these books. However, I will be adding some of them to my reading list. How about you? Have I found any movie tie-in books that intrigue you? Have you read any of these books or do you have any additional movie-themed book recommendations?

If you are looking for a great movie-based gift idea, why not consider a movie and book themed gift? That is a top-rated gift idea in my book (pun not intended) and one that I have employed successfully in the past for the book-reading movie lovers in my family!

Dark Shadows: The Complete Original Series

Dark Shadows: The Complete Original Series

I'll confess. I have not seen Dark Shadows: The Complete Original Series but I was totally amazed this morning when I saw the Amazon customer reviews for this boxed set. A whopping 90 percent of the reviewers gave this vintage daytime 1960s television program five stars.  That really is amazing and definitely is enough to make me want to watch it.

It is impossible for me to share the depth of the reviews those customers left on Amazon and I encourage you to check them out for yourself by clicking right here.

With comments like, "There is just something about this series that makes me want to see it again and again. Maybe because it mentally transports me back to a time when I was a kid at home after school, before my parents were deceased, when all seemed right in the world and the scariest thing about life was Barnabas and Angelique in Dark Shadows."

They are thrilled with the programming.

They are also thrilled with the packaging.

Those who have a history with Dark Shadows love it. Those who don't? Well, they seem to love it, too.

The set is massive, containing 1225 30-minute episodes that aired on ABC between 1966 and 1971. Because of the incredible size of this series, it does not come cheaply but Amazon customers don't bemoan the cost. Especially those who purchased the programs individually on DVD and know how much that cost!

What a truly magnificent gift item this would be!

Jane Austen's Ring

Jane Austen's Ring

Did you catch the recent sale of Jane Austen’s gold and gem set ring to American Kelly Clarkson?  Well, I nearly missed it but many did not.

Apparently, Clarkson bid on and won the ring at a Sotheby’s auction for just under $246,000. However, historical interests in England spoke up and asked to have the sale blocked in an effort to keep an important part of history in the country. The British government agreed and placed a temporary ban on the export of the ring in an effort to give British concerns time to come up with the purchase price.

It took a month but Jane Austen’s ring will be staying in England at Jane Austen’s House Museum.

My local newspaper says the ring was bequeathed to Austen’s sister Cassandra and that it stayed in the family until the auction. The newspaper also said that Clarkson is happy to relinquish the ring to the museum because so many fans will be able to see it.

Rush: The Best Car-Racing Movie Ever?

Rush: The Best Car-Racing Movie Ever?

Earlier this week when I asked my husband what he wanted to do for fun this weekend, he said one word and that word was "Rush."  I knew he was interested in this movie but he is interested in every car movie except perhaps Disney's Car movies.

Then I read this morning's Ottawa Citizen in which Jay Stone's headline screams: "Feeling the RUSH. Ron Howard's electrifying car-racing film might just be the best one ever made."

And then I saw the trailer...

And then I became interested in seeing Rush.

As the tagline says, Rush is based on a true story. Set in the 1970s, it is the story of Formula One drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda. The movie is directed by Ron Howard and stars Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Bruhl and Olivia Wilde.

Driving.ca says that “some liberties were taken…but by and large what you see is how it was four decades ago between the two drivers…that it is an accurate portrayal of the men’s complicated relationship.”

It looks like Rush is an action movie with a moving story, too.

Is Rush on your radar? If it is be sure to come back and let us know if you think Rush is the best car-racing movie ever.

Cher's Closer to the Truth (2013)

Cher has a new album set to be released on September 24, 2013 called Closer to the Truth.

I will admit that I have enjoyed Cher and followed her professional life since the Sonny and Cher show in the 1970s though I was but a young girl at that time.

As a long time fan, I am glad to see that at the age of 67 Cher is still belting out tunes. I love the fact that she is still performing though I doubt I will ever see her in concert again and yes, I love the the new song Woman's World and the accompanying music video, too.

Watch the official Youtube video for Woman's World right here and see for yourself.  Then be sure to let us know if you love Cher, too!

Upstairs Downstairs (2011) Period Drama

As a fan of period drama movies, I’m always on the lookout for more good programs. This past week, I discovered Upstairs Downstairs (2011) and just now discovered that it is a continuation of the 1970s TV series, which I have not watched.

I enjoyed this newer version of Upstairs Downstairs, even without having seen the original programs. It was an entertaining look into the life of the aristocrats and the servants of 1936 England and consists of three one-hour episodes.

I’m sure that if you enjoy period dramas like Downton Abbey and you are looking for more similar programs, that you will enjoy this one. Take a peek at the trailer:

Personally, I’ll be looking for the original series, which ran from 1971 to 1975 and which I see is available in a boxed set called Upstairs, Downstairs: The Complete Series.

Game of Thrones: Third Season Release Date

Look what I found: The Game of Thrones: The Complete Third Season Limited Edition exclusive set.

I watched and often covered my eyes during the first season of the series and I have the second in the house waiting to be viewed and cringed at, LOL.  This is not a series that I would recommend for the faint of heart nor for the easily offended.  It contains a lot of violence and sex but obviously it does have a good story, which has hooked hoards of watchers. I read that the finale drew 5.4 million viewers.

This Season 3 set isn't even going to be available until February 18, 2014 but it is already available for pre-order on Amazon with Amazon's usual guarantee so you won't have to be worried about the price going down. This set will contain the blu-ray, DVD and digital versions of the movie. Of course, more basic sets will be available with just blu-ray or DVD discs. Little House on the Prairie: The Complete Nine Season Boxed Set

I can hear Nellie Oleson saying, “I'll fix her. You'll see.” If you are a long-time fan who grew up with Little House on the Prairie likely you can hear that voice in your head, too.  If not, you ought to check out this iconic television series which was part of the growing up years of many North American women my age.

After a 1974 pilot movie, the series ran from 1974 through 1982, eventually filming 203 episodes that many of us watched when they aired and when they played in reruns year after year after year.

Derived from the books written by Laura Ingalls Wilder, the television program starred Michael Landon, Melissa Gilbert and Karen Grassle and was set in the farmlands of Minnesota in the 1870s and 1880s.

I was surprised, though I probably should NOT have been, to see that there is an incredible boxed set called Little House on the Prairie: The Complete Nine-Season Boxed Set available. Unfortunately, it has not been remastered and it is not available on blu-ray disc. However, those disappointments aside, it sounds like a phenomenal set for fans of the series.

PLEASE NOTE:

Today, August 13, 2013, Amazon has this set as their Gold Box Deal of the Day at 42 percent off.

Here's a quick video peek into the series and the set:

Within the covered wagon themed packaging, you will find the complete television series and the pilot movie on an unbelievable 55 discs.  Plus you receive hours of special features, including cast interviews, a documentary about Laura Ingalls Wilder’s legacy, a tour of the historic site and more.

Amazon customer reviews are generally positive although some are disappointed that some of the shows were edited with scenes cut. If you are looking for a perfect, unedited set, this will not please you. However, if you are looking for an well-packaged, comprehensive set, it sounds like this is for you. I know it would make an absolutely stunning and special gift for a long-time fan of Little House on the Prairie. As a matter of fact, I would not mind finding it under my Christmas tree!

Disney Planes Movie (2013) Trailers & Originality

Looking much like Cars, Disney's animated movie Planes was another action-filled, family friendly movie.

Meet Dusty, a plane who wants to be an air racer but who is afraid of heights. With the assistance of an experienced aviator, El Chupacabra, watch as Dusty gathers his courage to really reach the heights.

Disney's Planes arrived at the movie theater on August 9, 2013 and was released on blu-ray disc and DVD on November 19, 2013. On this page, learn a bit more about the movie and about the discussion of  whether or not it is a spin off or a rip off of Disney's Cars.

We discovered the upcoming Disney movie Planes late since our boys were grown up and gone when it was released. We eventually picked it up because Cars was a pretty big hit and possibly more importantly because my husband was an aviator and likely to enjoy the excitement as Planes literally "takes viewers to new heights", LOL. It did and we fully enjoyed this animated movie.

Take a peek for yourself at the two official Disney Planes trailers and I think you will agree if you do not already know that the animated movie looks pretty exciting:

Disney Planes: Cars Spin-off or Rip-off?

There was chatter online about Planes being a spin-off of the Disney-Pixar Cars movie franchise. Personally, I don't really care as long as the movie is good and, in my opinion, it was.  Check out for yourself this video from Beyond the Trailer that discusses the question of originality and whether or not Disney's Planes movie is not just a spin-off but also a rip-off:

Disney Pixar's first Cars movie was at the time the only Pixar film not to win an Oscar for Best Feature and Cars 2 was not even nominated for an Oscar. Despite those facts, Disney expanded the franchise because, as we all know and this video discussion from Beyond the Trailer pointed out, little kids love Cars.  Cars was very successful at the box office so we were offered another exciting ride with Planes.  What do you think? Was Disney's Planes a Cars movie spin off or a rip off? Does it even matter?

Cast

If you are wondering who voiced a character in the movie, here is the Planes cast list:

Dusty voiced by Dane Cook
Skipper Riley voiced by Stacy Keach
Chug voiced by Brad Garrett
Dottie voiced by Teri Hatcher
Leadbottom voiced by Cedric the Entertainer
Bravo and Echo voiced by Anthony Edwards and Val Kilmer
Ripslinger voiced by Roger Craig Smith
Ned and Zed voiced by Gabriel Iglesias
Rochelle voiced by Julia Louis-Dreyfus
El Chupacabra voiced by Carlos Alazraqui
Ishani voiced by Priyanka Chopra
Bulldog voiced by John Cleese
Roper voiced by Sinbad
Colin Cowling voiced by Colin Cowherd
Mustangburger voiced by Brent Musburger

Ryan Gosling Tim Hortons Coffee Mug

Ryan Gosling Tim Hortons Coffee MugRyan Gosling is pretty hot these days in Hollywood. If you’re a movie fan, you may have seen him recently in Gangster Squad, The Place Beyond the Pines and Crazy, Stupid, Love.

In an interview for Gangster Squad, Gosling said he hoped his role in that movie would earn him "his very own collectible Ryan Gosling Tim Hortons" coffee mug…and it did.

Initially, it was a fan who created by hand a Ryan Gosling themed Tim Hortons’ coffee mug and shared it online.

When Canadian coffee company Tim Hortons heard the story they had a mug created for Ryan Gosling and one for Sarah J. Velasquez who created the first Ryan Gosling themed coffee mug. Unfortunately, it seems that only two were made so Ryan Gosling fans will not be able to buy one at Tim Hortons in Canada or elsewhere.

When I wrote this post, you could read the complete story in the National Post. However, that story and this mug is gone now.

Do let us know how hot you think THAT coffee mug would be. Or maybe there is someone else you would like to see on YOUR coffee mug every morning.

License Plate Man Cave Artwork

This is the first in what I hope will become a series of posts dedicated to the man cave.  No doubt, you all know what a man cave is. It’s that mantuary or male sanctuary that your man has created as a retreat, which is often located in a basement, garage or spare room.

Our man cave is still a work in progress mostly because it is in our basement, which is also home to my eBay store. I have no doubt, however, that my husband would appreciate this image in his man cave if he were able to finish the room the way he would like.  We, or maybe it should be I, have chosen to decorate much of our home in yellows and blues and he recently let it be known that he likes red, too, making this image the perfect compromise, don't you think?

Art Doesn’t Have To Match The Couch was created by Greg Constantine. It is a more readily available image fashioned after a series that Constantine organized, which consisted of art pieces that represented countries or states with each license plate created by an artist from that location.

The images created for that display were the ultimate in personalized vanity license plates. This work, however, is affordable and interesting and we think very appropriate for the modern day man cave where art definitely doesn’t have to match the decor but should be fun and spirited.

The license plates used to create this image were made intentionally by Constantine, after choosing colors, shapes and origins. He’s taken Poetic License with this creation and we like the result. Red for Canada anyone?

It is a quality reproduction, printed on paper similar to that of a postcard using a digital or offset lithography press.

You can find Greg Constantine’s Art Doesn’t Have To Match The Couch print on Amazon by clicking here.

The Titanic: New Documentary Films & Movies

The Titanic: New Documentary Films & Movies

On April 15, 1912, 101 years ago today, the Titanic sunk to her watery grave taking 1,502 men, women and children with her. The tragedy has never been forgotten. It continues to hold the interest of people around the world and historians and scientists are still trying to figure out exactly why this great, unsinkable ship, perhaps the best ship ever built by the year 1912, sunk on her maiden voyage.

This winter my continued interest in the ship found me watching a number of the new Titanic documentary films, as well as a couple of the new movies.

I was surprised at some of the more recent theories about why The Titanic sank. If you are interested in the history of the Titanic, you will likely be interested in those results, too.

I particularly enjoyed Titanic at 100 Mystery Solved, which is a highly scientific look at the sinking and Titanic's Final Mystery, which delved a bit more into the human side of the tragedy, as well as the role of the perfectly calm weather that fateful night.

E-Poll Market Research named celebrity Betty White America’s most-appealing celebrity. She beat out Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks for the title in a survey of 1100 people that ranks 7500 celebrities.

She's been acting since 1939 when she appeared in The Merry Widow and she is still acting today, currently being seen in Hot in Cleveland and on Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.  In 2010, she hosted Saturday Night Live and was  Entertainer of the Year.

Boy in the Striped Pajamas Movie Review

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is a 2008 movie based on a bestselling book that was written by John Boyne in 2006. The book went on to the number one spot on the New York Times bestsellers list.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is the story of two 8-year old boys, a young German boy, son of the Nazi Commandant of Auschwitz, who befriends a young Jewish boy living in the concentration camp.

It's an unusual Holocaust film that will set you to thinking. Here's a peek into The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas via the official movie trailer:

The movie received mixed reviews, some thinking that it commercialized the tragic situation while others called it an important film.  Some think that it was an unacceptable fiction since nine-year old boys in Auschwitz were gassed because they were not old enough to work. Others dispute that fact saying that there were boys in the camp.

Recently deceased film critic Roger Ebert said that the film was not meant to be a "forensic reconstruction of Germany during the war but rather a story about a value system that survives like a virus." He gave the movie 3.5 stars.
From the movie:
Son Bruno: Dad's a good man.
Daughter Gretel: Of course he is.
What do you think?

A Few Interesting Facts About Roger Ebert's Life As A Movie Critic

A Few Interesting Facts About Roger Ebert's Life As A Movie Critic

Roger Ebert left our world yesterday, on April 4, 2013  after a lifetime of writing about the movies. He may be gone but he will not be forgotten for he left behind a lifetime's worth of work and he helped to change the way we look at the movies.

Did you know:

That Roger Ebert worked for the Chicago Sun Times newspaper as a film critic for 46 years?

That he wrote 17 books, including the very popular I Hated, Hated, Hated This Movie (shown here), which  was popular despite its rather uncomfortable subject matter?

That he and partner Gene Siskel trademarked the phrase "Two Thumbs Up?"

That he penned the all-too-true phrase, "No good film is too long. No bad film is too short."

That Roger Ebert was the first movie reviewer to win a Pulitzer Prize for criticism?

That he reviewed up to 285 movies in a single year?

I enjoyed this short Youtube video by CNN, titled Roger Ebert's Influence and Legacy, and I think you will, too:

I do remember watching Siskel and Ebert review movies on television though I do not remember any specific reviews from that program.  I enjoyed his work in recent years through his blog, which I often referred to for great and sometimes not-so-great movie reviews.

How about you, do you remember Roger Ebert and his movie reviews?

Ironically, I usually close my posts with "See You At The Movies."  Until this week, I did not realize that was a phrase I had taken from Roger Ebert. So today, it seems more fitting to close with,

Rest in Peace, Roger
and Thank you.
